Trying to disable all the options and settings within Windows 10 can be a little tedious sometimes as settings and methods to configure these settings can be split across different areas and different management platforms. One of the issues i came across was trying to disable the ‘Nearby Sharing’ feature within the action pane in Windows 10 1803. After some searching i followed the steps below:
- Open up Group Policy Editor
- Navigate to:
Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Group Policy - Find the following setting:
- Double click on the above setting set it to Disabled
- Restart the machine and the ‘Nearby Sharing’ will be grey’ed out
